Responsibilities
Own architecture and design: create system diagrams, define functional and non‑functional requirements (such as scalability, reliability, security and cost), and set integration standards.
Build and deliver using our technology stack with focus on quality, performance, and observability.
Lead initiatives: break down roadmaps, manage small to medium‑sized projects, remove blockers, and ensure on‑time delivery.
Plan and prioritize: create execution plans, estimate effort, manage risks, and clearly communicate progress to stakeholders.
Drive engineering excellence: enforce automated testing, deep code reviews, branch and release standards, and code quality.
Document for scale: maintain architecture documents, ADRs, operational guides, and runbooks, ensuring traceability and clarity within agile processes and tools.
Client interaction: attend remote and in‑person meetings, capture requirements, discuss trade‑offs, and present solutions clearly.
Mentor others: guide mid‑level and junior developers, share best practices, lead tech talks, and promote a learning culture.
Partner management: coordinate third parties, validate deliverables, and ensure alignment with project goals.
Ensure production quality: validate system integrations, instrument logs, metrics, and tracing, define basic SLOs, and participate post‑mortems.
Continuous learning: explore new technologies, identify process improvements, and propose architectural enhancements.
Administrative support: handle operational requests and be available for national or international travel when required.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
Experience: 7+ years of professional experience, including technical leadership on complex projects.
Stack: Backend (Java, Python, and .Net Core), Frontend (Angular), Node.js, SQL, REST API development, microservices and event‑driven architectures.
Cloud: Hands‑on experience with AWS or Azure, IAM, storage, managed services and observability.
Quality & DevOps: Test automation, Git, Gitflow, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, semantic versioning and promotion across environments.
Security & Reliability: Familiarity with OWASP Top 10, secret management, least privilege, basic hardening, and observability (logs, metrics, tracing).
Language: Advanced English (written and spoken, client‑facing).
Profile: Proactive, system thinker, fluent with modern frameworks and best practices in development, testing, and cloud operations.
Nice to Have
Postgraduate or Master’s degree.
Spanish proficiency.
IaC (Terraform) and platform engineering principles.
Multi‑cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) and cost/performance optimization.
Exposure to performance tuning, caching, messaging/queue systems (e.g., Kafka), and feature flag management.
