2. Job Purpose (Summary / One – Line Description)
* Drive effective implementation of SCIL technical services strategy in assigned regions / applications and ensure delivery of excellent customer support services (internal & external) in order to facilitate business growth plans
* Drive effective implementation of best-in-class application testing processes in SCIL ensuring alignment with market practices, changing customer requirements and regulatory guidelines
3. Duties/Responsibilities/Activities:
1. Strategic & Planning
* Contribute in defining technical services strategy and establish technical services guidelines for provision of robust technical service support for existing and new products.
* Contribute to strategic projects and initiatives from technical services perspective specific to the assigned region / applications.
2. New Product Introduction
* Supports feasibility analysis process of prospective new products in the assigned region with consideration to latent demands of customers and evolving market trends
* Provide technical inputs for effective design of new products in line with market requirements
* Provide technical guidance to application development team in preparing an extensive impact report on all relevant applications on new product formulation and end product characteristics
* Monitor & review service preparedness of technical support for new launches; Guide Technical Services/ Sales team to ensure readiness for new product launches in terms of tools, manuals and diagnostics.
3.Customer Support
* Closely monitor customer complaints and ensure timely, efficient & professional response to all customers' complaints & queries of technical nature, making SCIL a preferred value-add partner in assigned application
* Continuously work towards improving processes and service levels to ensure comprehensive technical sales support to customers
* Ensure constant communication with stakeholders (Quality team, Plant Heads, Product Managers etc.) to facilitate effective query/ complain resolution;
* Review root cause analysis of customer complaints/customer feedback on periodic basis for assigned regions / applications and identify trends and opportunities for product modifications / assess need for introduction of new products or testing methods.
4. Application Testing
* Engage with key accounts in the assigned region to understand their product performance expectations and drive continuous process/ infrastructure improvements to enhance application testing methodologies in order to meet customer requirements
* Scan external environment to identify customer needs, foresee latent demands and determine market trends pertaining to product application testing; Introduce new testing procedures and technologies to align with identified opportunities
* Partner with application lab team members to implement new testing methodologies for assigned applications.
5. Technical Capability Building
* Develop a training & development for building technical & application expertise for sales professionals.
6. Travel as required:
* Travel to Mexico as required for business needs.
* Provide support and travel across Latin American countries as needed.

Job Specification:
Qualification and Language:
* B.Sc. / M.Sc. Chemistry, Pigments Technology / Other Applications, Good to have Ph.D
* For Coatings – Paint Technology,
* Portuguese language must, Spanish language good to have
* Additional Desired Qualification: MBA in Sales & Marketing
Experience:
* Period of Experience Required: Min 5 years' experience in Core Role, 7 – 12 years of technical services domain preferably in specialty chemicals sector.
* Nature of Experience Required: Experience of developing new testing procedures and supporting new product development from technical SME perspective
