The Common Lives Project invites musicians to collaborate in research initiatives, capturing activities with cameras during practice or recording sessions. Footage will power future AI models understanding complex human behaviors.
Responsibilities:
* Capture daily activities for 5 days within a 2-week window, ensuring flexibility to take breaks and pause the camera for privacy.
* Record a minimum of 7 hours per day.
* Upload footage, review short clips, delete, anonymize, or consent to each video segment at the end of each day.
Household Requirements:
* No children under 18 present or visiting during the recording period.
* All adults must be fluent English speakers and agree to being recorded.
* Private, self-contained apartments or indoor work environments are required.
* All household members must agree to appear in the footage.
Participant Requirements:
* Indoor, non-customer-facing roles are preferred (e.g., chef, baker, artist, carpenter, musician).
* Self-employed or employer consent is required to record in the work environment.
* Basic computer skills are necessary for reviewing and uploading video clips.
Technical Requirements:
* Access to a computer and internet connection is necessary.
* Web-based tools for uploading and reviewing clips will be provided with training.
* GoPro cameras and accessories will be supplied by us.
