Overview School of Music: Lecturer I – Collaborative Piano The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley seeks applications for a Lecturer I in Collaborative Piano to join the School of Music beginning Fall. Primary responsibilities include serving as a collaborative pianist for student juries, studio recitals, and degree recitals, with familiarity across a range of repertoires including brass, woodwind, string, and vocal literature, as well as teaching additional courses as assigned by the Director of the School of Music. This position requires close collaboration with School of Music faculty and includes instructional responsibilities on both the Brownsville and Edinburg campuses. The successful candidate will carry the standard academic teaching load appropriate for a Lecturer I appointment. Discipline Specific Qualifications Experience accompanying a diverse body of repertoire for different instruments. Preferred Qualifications DMA in Collaborative Piano. A record of successful accompanying and teaching. Special consideration will be given to those with experience collaborating with a broad range of instruments (brass, woodwind, strings, vocal, etc.).
