Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned sales leader to join our team as Director of Sales. This key role will involve leading a team of account executives, driving growth, and contributing to the company's ongoing success in the Latin America market.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, with a strong background in the Higher Education publishing or EdTech industries. They will be responsible for leading the regional sales team to consistently meet and exceed assigned revenue targets in the LATAM region.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the regional sales team to achieve and surpass sales targets
* Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the sales team's activities
* Recruit, mentor, and develop sales talent
* Define, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales team
* Analyze buyer and influencer motivations
* Collaborate with marketing, customer success, and other teams to ensure alignment of sales efforts
* Successfully plan and manage renewal projects
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree
* 5+ years of hands-on experience leading sales teams in Higher Education publishing, EdTech, or STEM publishing industries
* 10+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the Higher Education sector
* Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles
* Target-oriented and willing to work in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
