Job Description
A Technical Project Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects across various technological tracks. This professional leads cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment that promotes high customer satisfaction.
The key responsibilities include:
1. Ensuring timely project completion within budget and scope by working closely with technology teams.
2. Collaborating with customer stakeholders to understand project scope and documenting it according to defined standards.
3. Managing and leading teams across technologies, promoting a culture of collaboration and productivity.
4. Working with the PMO to ensure quality control procedures are in place, upholding high standards in delivery.
5. Acting as a primary point of contact for customers, understanding their needs, managing expectations, and ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.
6. Conducting regular Service/Project Review meetings with customers and management.
7. Adopting customer-specific processes and methodologies.
8. Proactively identifying, evaluating, and mitigating project risks effectively.
9. Ensuring project teams meet service level agreements and avoiding service credits/penalties.
10. Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes, methodologies, and best practices.
11. Utilizing effective conflict resolution and negotiation tactics to maintain high-level performance within service teams.
12. Establishing and monitoring Key Result Areas (KRAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as performance metrics for team members.
13. Supporting the hiring process by working with TAG teams to identify suitable resources for various tracks.
14. Ensuring Statement of Work (SOWs) are signed and invoices cleared on-time through coordination with finance teams and customer stakeholders.
15. Regularly reviewing individual member contributions in project teams, making their activities/stories/Jira Tickets visible to customers, and obtaining continuous feedback on team performance.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Proven experience in software development project management, including familiarity with onshore/Nearshore/offshore models.
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and thought leadership skills to effectively engage with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Familiarity with various project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, ITIL).
* A problem-solving mindset and ability to manage complex project challenges.
