A Senior SAP Developer is required to conduct a comprehensive technical assessment of an existing SAP Ariba implementation, with a focus on identifying non-compliant configurations, technical debt, and deviations from SAP best practices. The role is critical in evaluating the current build and providing a detailed analysis of areas requiring remediation or potential rebuild.
Participation in remediation or rebuild planning and execution.
Responsibilities:
Review
* Analyze the current SAP Ariba configuration and custom developments
* Identify hard-coded logic, non-standard extensions, and unsupported customizations
* Evaluate the use of SAP APIs, integration methods, and extensibility frameworks
Best Practices and Gap analysis, Clean Core Compliance and Impact evaluation
* Assess alignment with SAP clean core principles and extensibility guidelines
* Identify functional and technical gaps impacting business operations
* Evaluate the scalability, upgradeability, and performance of the current solution
* Document deviations from SAP-recommended architecture and design patterns
* Highlight risks associated with technical debt and long-term maintainability
* Provide recommendations and High level estimation on effort required for remediation, refactoring, or potential rebuild.
Stakeholder Collaboration
* Work closely with architects and process owners to understand pain points
* Translate technical findings into business-relevant impacts and priorities
Documentation & Reporting
* Deliver a comprehensive assessment report detailing findings, risks, and recommendations.
Skills:
* Advanced or fluent English
* Experience in SAP development and SAP Ariba (Buying, Sourcing, SLP and Business Network)
* Deep understanding of SAP Ariba architecture, integration (CIG, APIs), and extensibility
* Experience in code review, technical audits, and clean core assessments
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
* Familiarity with SAP BTP and SAP S/4HANA
* Experience with common / known integration issues within Ariba, SAP and Fieldglass and its recommended solution
* Familiarity with punch out catalog and its implementation for Brazil
* Familiarity with MDG
* Experience with SAP Fieldglass and S/4HANA procurement modules
* Experience in Agile methodology usage would be differential
* SAP certifications would be considered differential
