About the Role
* eCommerce Requirements Gathering: Analyze and document requirements for large-scale projects, managing the scope and ensuring successful delivery.
* Ambiguous Situations: Develop practical plans to achieve clarity, defining functional behavior, business rules, and data attributes.
* Business Needs Translation: Translate business needs into functional requirements, identifying gaps and adding minute details.
* Elicitation Techniques: Use interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, surveys, site visits, business process analysis, use cases or user stories, scenarios, event lists, competitive product analysis, and task and workflow analysis.
* Product Ownership: Act as a product owner for the development and QA team, clarifying doubts, validating developed functional solutions, and providing demos to clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Presentation of Solution Alternatives: Present solution alternatives to clients that meet their business requirements.
* Globally Distributed Teams: Work in a globally distributed team model.
* Decomposition of High-Level Requirements: Decompose high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements or user stories.
* Representation of Requirements: Represent requirements using alternative views such as visual analysis models (UML diagrams), prototypes, or simulations where appropriate.
* Requirements Validation: Lead requirements validation activities to confirm that a solution based on the requirements would meet customer needs and achieve business objectives.
* Ongoing Requirements Prioritization: Lead and facilitate ongoing requirements prioritization.
* Establishment of Effective Practices: Establish and implement effective requirements practices, including continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in IT or E-business: 12+ years of global experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner in IT services companies or System Integrators.
* Familiarity with Agile Development Processes: Familiarity with Agile development processes, quickly writing effective user stories that can be broken into meaningful tasks by developers.
* Technical Skills: Strong facilitation and communication skills across business and technical audiences, familiarity with a broad array of internet technologies and trends, understanding of eCommerce internationalization and localization complexities, and experience in problem resolution with IT systems and individuals.
