Digital Business Analyst – Shape the Future of Energy Reporting & Operations!
We are recruiting on behalf of a global energy services organisation operating across Gas & Power Services. This programme sits at the heart of operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and customer transparency - replacing fragmented, manual reporting with a scalable digital reporting solution across complex industrial assets.
You’ll join a long-term, high-impact transformation programme focused on power plant operations, Operations & Maintenance (O&M), and performance reporting. This is a discovery-heavy role with real ownership, working directly with senior stakeholders to define what the product should be, before it’s built.
As a Digital Business Analyst, you’ll lead domain discovery, define product capabilities, and act as the bridge between business stakeholders and delivery teams to turn complex operational needs into a clear, scalable digital solution.
Your Role:
You’ll be the bridge between operations, data, and delivery. This is a senior, hands-on role where you’ll rapidly onboard into the Gas & Power Services domain, lead structured discovery, and shape a digital reporting product from the ground up - with ownership through to delivery and value realisation.
What You’ll Do:
* Lead structured interviews and workshops with domain heads and SMEs to capture current-state (“as-is”) processes, data flows, and pain points
* Translate business needs into clear product capabilities, outcomes, and success measures
* Define reporting requirements, data inputs, ownership models, and KPIs across performance, efficiency, safety, environmental, and financial metrics
* Balance standardisation and configurability across plants, equipment types, and markets
* Create and maintain product vision, roadmap, capability maps, and a prioritised backlog
* Define the end-to-end data and reporting strategy - from data collection and validation through to dashboards and customer-facing outputs
* Work closely with Solution Architects to ensure technical feasibility, scalability, and long-term sustainability
* Act as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and delivery teams, driving clarity and momentum
* Lead demos, clarify scope boundaries, and align expectations on custom vs configurable functionality
* Support planning, estimation, sequencing, and governance across a multi-phase programme
* Track progress against milestones and help define what success looks like by September 2026
What You Bring:
* Proven ability to lead discovery independently and bring structure to ambiguous environments
* Experience working on data-driven products, reporting systems, or analytics platforms
* Experience with international, enterprise environments
* Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills across senior, operational, and technical audiences
* Confidence translating complex operational domains into clear, actionable requirements
* Exposure to energy, utilities, power generation, or industrial operations is highly desirable
* Familiarity with operational KPIs, asset performance management, and HSE reporting is a strong plus
* Experience working with dashboards, BI tools, or custom reporting solutions
