Accounting Specialist Job Overview
The Accounting Specialist role is a vital position within our organization, responsible for managing and maintaining the financial records of our company. This role involves a range of tasks including accounts receivable, accounts payable, supply chain management, and other related duties.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accounts Receivable: Assist customers with billing inquiries, post payments, process energy transactions, and reconcile sales and deposits from locations.
* Accounts Payable: Match invoices with receivers and purchase orders, prepare for processing, and ensure proper approvals are obtained for payments.
* Supply Chain Management: Provide seasonal support for payables, assist with financing through third-party vendors, and maintain reporting tasks for validation on accounts payable invoices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience: In accounting, billing, and credit preferred. Comparable experience may substitute education.
* Education: Requires a minimum of an associate's degree in accounting, with a bachelor's degree preferred.
* Functional Competencies:
o Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
o Ability to communicate effectively with company managers, employees, customers, and outside interests.
o Demonstrated organization, planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work.
