Role Summary:
* We're seeking an experienced audio editor to refine our podcast episodes into engaging, professional productions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Edit raw podcast audio to create polished, broadcast-ready content that enhances listener engagement and retention.
2. Remove filler words, false starts, redundancies, and off-topic tangents while preserving the speaker's voice and intent.
3. Improve pacing, clarity, and flow without compromising the episode's narrative or message.
4. Restructure sections when needed to optimize the listening experience.
5. Insert intro/outro, sponsor reads, disclaimers, or updates as required.
6. Follow embedded audio notes and written instructions carefully to ensure accuracy and consistency.
7. Deliver clean final WAV/MP3 files on deadline, meeting project requirements and expectations.
8. Create 3–4 short clips per episode for marketing use, showcasing key highlights and themes.
9. Support up to two rounds of edits per episode when requested, ensuring client satisfaction and quality standards are met.
Requirements and Qualifications:
* Proven experience editing long-form podcasts (interview or narrative style), with a keen eye for detail and strong editorial judgment.
* Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to follow instructions precisely and maintain high-quality output.
* Comfortable working with physician and expert-level conversations, requiring a deep understanding of complex topics and nuanced language.
* Fast, reliable turnaround times, prioritizing timely delivery and meeting deadlines.
* Clear, professional communication, ensuring seamless collaboration with clients, producers, and other stakeholders.
* Familiarity with industry-standard tools like Descript, Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Logic, or similar software.
