We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable and reliable applications using Ruby on Rails.
Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain Ruby on Rails applications
* Build and manage AWS infrastructure components
* Implement and maintain serverless solutions using AWS Lambda
* Integrate and maintain APIs and external systems
* Refactor legacy components to improve maintainability and performance
* Write and maintain automated tests to ensure high code quality and coverage
* Monitor application performance and address issues or bottlenecks
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; or equivalent professional experience
* 5+ years of experience in backend development using Ruby on Rails
* Strong experience with AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, and API Gateway
* Hands-on experience using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments
* Solid understanding of serverless architectures and AWS Lambda functions
* Experience designing and consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs
Skills:
* PostgreSQL, Redis, and background job frameworks (Sidekiq, Resque)
* Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments
* Agile/Scrum methodologies, Jira, and Confluence for project tracking
