Job Description

Strategic relationship builders play a crucial role in identifying and acquiring strategic software companies. This position involves establishing strong connections with key decision-makers, advisors, and industry professionals to drive acquisitions.

The Strategic Acquisition Manager will develop and manage an acquisition pipeline using Salesforce CRM and create market maps to build relationships in assigned software industry verticals. Measurable outcomes, continuous value-add through numerous acquisition conversations, and high-quality market research are essential for successful acquisitions.

* Develop and manage the acquisition pipeline.
* Meet or exceed monthly acquisition targets.
* Collaborate with acquisition leadership to qualify acquisition opportunities.
* Evaluate the lead database and allocate it accurately within portfolio verticals.
* Qualify opportunities at the top-end of the acquisition funnel.

This role requires occasional travel, primarily performed remotely. It offers a unique opportunity to leverage strategic relationship building skills to drive business growth and expansion.


Required Skills and Qualifications

Relevant experience and competencies include:

* At least 3+ years of experience in Business Development/Sales or client-facing finance roles.
* A clear interest in developing long-term relationships with prospects.
* Previous success in Business Development, entrepreneurship, or other areas outside professional BD experience.
* Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
* Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work variable hours.
* Extraordinary work ethic and a sense of urgency.

This individual should be highly motivated, proactive, and results-driven, with a passion for building and maintaining strong relationships.
