The Global Database Engineer role is responsible for the performance, integrity, security, and availability of databases within the organization.
* Database server performance must be installed and maintained.
* High availability scenarios like AON and replication must be implemented.
* Processes for database security optimization must be developed.
* Database standards must be set and maintained.
* Database access must be managed.
* Database performance tuning must be performed.
* Database applications must be installed, upgraded, and managed.
* Database errors must be diagnosed and troubleshooted.
