Podcast Audio Editor
We're seeking an experienced Podcast Audio Editor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for editing podcast audio files, enhancing sound quality, implementing sound design, and adding music to create a polished final product.
The ideal candidate will have a keen ear for detail and the ability to work independently, while also being a strong communicator and team player.
Responsibilities:
* Edit raw podcast audio into broadcast-ready episodes
* Remove filler words, false starts, redundancies, and off-topic tangents
* Improve pacing, clarity, and flow without changing the speaker's voice or intent
* Restructure sections when needed based on how questions were answered
* Insert intro/outro, sponsor reads, disclaimers, or updates when required
* Follow embedded audio notes and written instructions carefully
* Deliver clean final WAV/MP3 files on deadline
Requirements:
* Proven experience editing long-form podcasts (interview or narrative style)
* Strong editorial judgment — you know what to cut and why
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
* Comfortable working with physician and expert-level conversations
* Fast, reliable turnaround times
* Clear, professional communication
