CGI Artists play a pivotal role in the visual effects industry, responsible for creating realistic and immersive digital environments. As a Senior CGI Artist, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team working on high-end commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
You will work closely with the Lighting Supervisor and Leads to develop the look of computer-generated products. Your primary responsibilities include:
* Collaborating with compositing leads and image compositors to develop shot and render passes as needed.
* Submitting composited CG render elements for daily reviews to obtain feedback from supervisors.
* Managing render scenes, light rigs, and production assets to ensure efficient workflow.
* Maintaining consistent product quality and desired look through technical and creative means.
* Bridging client direction and briefs to artist teams while effectively communicating project challenges to stakeholders.
To excel in this role, you must possess a strong background in Look Development and be proficient in tools such as Nuke, Maya, and VRay. Experience working with physically plausible ray trace renderers is also essential. Additionally, you should have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational abilities.
This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in visual effects or high-end commercial work. A demo reel demonstrating artistic and technical ability in Lighting & Look Dev is a mandatory requirement.
