Role Description
This is a remote contract role for a Dispatcher. The Dispatcher will coordinate schedules, communicate with drivers and clients, and monitor routes to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of goods. Tasks include scheduling freight movements, tracking shipments, resolving logistical challenges, and maintaining clear communication with carriers and customers in real time.
Qualifications
* Strong scheduling, routing, and coordination abilities
* Effective communication skills, including resolving issues with drivers and clients
* Capability to monitor shipment progress and adapt plans as needed
* Familiarity with logistics and transportation systems and tools
* Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently within a remote setup
* Prior experience in logistics or transportation is a plus
* High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics are advantageous
