Working here can be a fantastic growth experience, where you can operate in a dynamic, international and competitive environment.What you’ll doWithin the Chemical and Mechanical Organization, Commodity Manager Chemical Raw Materials has the key responsibility of developing and maintaining a competitive, supportive and high performing portfolio of suppliers to be utilized by the Product Lines. Our mission is to ensure the award of businesses to the best suppliers using advanced analytical with the targets of cost, quality and flexibility.In detail, you willManaging the business strategically with the objective to leverage volumes, to promote complexity reduction, simplification, cost performance and innovation within the LATAM region.Support sourcing decisions in close collaboration with key stakeholders (R&D, Product Line, Quality, Manufacturing, Design).Maximize buying efficiency, minimize supply disruption, and financial risks.Identify potential contract improvement opportunities and renegotiations.Develop and maintain proper price indexing/forecasting, reporting tools, and secure alignment with controlling department and purchasing leadership.Manage relationships and partnerships with cross functional teams and internal stakeholders.Coordinate global procurement strategy of styrenics.Collaborate with Business Area Purchasing to ensure on-time project execution and implementation of category strategies.Work with the Product Lines and all the relevant stakeholders to build and deploy a category strategy that aligns all Business Areas requirements.Implement improved sourcing methods, tooling optimization and capability understanding, supplier risk assessment.As part of the culture of continuous improvement, you will be involved in Lean Thinking projects and activities (Electrolux Always Improve).Who you areYou possess a bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering and/or have specialties in project management, product costing, lean manufacturing or other relevant areaStrong experience in direct material purchasing, category management with an international exposure is a must.Experience and knowledge of the purchasing environment for the commodities managed with the capability to analyse business procurement issues, recommend solutions and strategies, and implement change.Proven knowledge/background on chemical and petrochemical industry, polymer science, plastic compounding and transformation industry is an assetStrong knowledge of the strategic sourcing methodology and its application.Demonstrated ability to effectively manage strategic supplier relationships, including relationship building, performance, development and integration.Stature and ability to establish and manage relationship with senior leadership both internal and at suppliers.You are fluent in English.Where you’ll beYou will be based at the Curitiba Factory Plant, located in Guabirotuba. It will be necessary to be available for national and international traveling two to four times a year.
