Role description:
As a Sustainability Specialist in the Global Sustainability team, you will conduct research, analysis, and propose solutions on sustainability topics to support the advancement of Global Sustainability Programs in line with external assurance and commercial opportunities. Your responsibilities include integrating programs within the business, supporting pilot projects, testing innovative tools, preparing lighthouse examples, developing trainings, and supporting thought leadership development.

The Sustainability Specialist will report to a Subject Matter Expert within the Global Sustainability Enabling Function.
Role accountabilities:
* Provide technical research and analysis support on sustainability issues, primarily related to Nature & Biodiversity.
* Support the development of training content and thought leadership.
* Lead sustainability outcomes for lighthouse projects through technical leadership and relationship management.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to leverage commercial opportunities.
* Prepare reports and updates on program status for management and stakeholders.
* Create presentations and talks for public engagement.
* Identify strategic opportunities, survey stakeholders, and advise on business and policy improvements.
* Support non-financial reporting topics such as CSRD, CSDDD, etc.
* Manage technical projects from inception to completion within timelines.
* Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
* Mentor and train junior team members.
* Provide technical expertise and guidance to overcome challenges.
* Benchmark against best practices and communicate influence levers.
* Assist with bids requiring sustainability responses.
Key shared accountabilities:
* Motivate and review team performance.
* Support program reporting and stakeholder communication.
* Collaborate with global technical leads and teams.
* Contribute to training initiatives, sustainability ratings responses, and annual reports.
* Identify stakeholder requirements and collaborate to meet goals.
* Report and address delivery risks proactively.
* Develop tools and solutions to measure and improve sustainability results.
* Work with cross-functional teams on technical improvements.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor’s in Nature & Biodiversity-related fields; Master’s preferred.
* At least 7 years of experience in sustainability programs.
* Knowledge of biodiversity assessments, ecological surveys, GIS tools, and restoration techniques is desirable.
* Familiarity with international biodiversity frameworks and protocols.
* Understanding of corporate sustainability requirements like CSRD.
* Ability to work under pressure and with global teams.
* Strong analytical, research, and report-writing skills.
* Project management capabilities.
* Flexibility in work hours due to international scope.
