By optimizing logistics processes and maintaining compliance, this role supports the company’s strategic goals and enhances overall supply chain performance.How You Will Make an Impact:Coordinate all aspects of import, export, and local logistics shipments ensuring timely execution and precise shipment tracking, while managing all logistics operations both locally and internationally.Monitor and coordinate carrier capacity across various freight categories to support efficient and timely transportation.Drive supplier relationships and lead negotiations to optimize both local and international logistics operationsLeverage transportation expertise to develop and execute strategies that enhance logistics flow.Actively managing plant requirements and overseeing the end-to-end transport of materials for local and international, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.Deliver operational improvements using data driven approach to root cause analysis and solution design.Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs, while measuring and identifying activities performed.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of import regulations and tariffs to minimize risks and avoid delays.Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices for data management and analytics to enhance the accuracy and utility of logistics and supplier information, conducting monitoring of operation to uncover potential cost-saving opportunities and effectively mitigate associated risks.Creating and maintaining SOPs and supporting documents that mandate for internal process.Provide robust support for reporting and analytics by leveraging data to track performance metrics, address and resolve disruptions and issues related to KPIsResponsible for ensuring compliance with applicable internal and external norms, procedures, and guidelinesBackground:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Administration, Foreign Trade, Engineer and related;Previous Experience: Transport, Logistics and Customs OperationKnowledge: S4Hana, SAP/TM.Knowledge: Microsoft Office Package (required)Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures and special regimes (Recof)Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems and PowerBI, with strong data management and reporting capabilities.Experience in an operational environment with proven ability to thoroughly understand processes, identify improvement opportunities, and drive change.Foster strong relationships with external partners to enhance collaboration and service deliveryHitachi Energy is a global technology leader in electrification, powering a sustainable energy future through innovative power grid technologies with digital at the core.
