Job Description:
As a skilled IT Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving our technology infrastructure. This includes installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computer hardware, software, systems, and networks for all employees.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for internal IT support requests, providing timely and effective solutions for Windows, macOS, and mobile devices.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to train and support non-technical users.
A strong background in computer systems, networks, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and cloud platforms (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365) is essential for this role.
Additionally, experience with endpoint management, SaaS administration, automation tools, and cybersecurity best practices, including MFA, VPNs, patch management, and incident response, is highly desirable.
The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, think critically, and collaborate effectively with leadership to evaluate and implement new technologies that enhance productivity and security.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, and networks for all employees.
* Serve as the first point of contact for internal IT support requests, providing timely troubleshooting and resolution for Windows, macOS, and mobile devices.
* Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and other SaaS platforms.
* Support the deployment and integration of new productivity and collaboration tools.
* Monitor and maintain endpoint security, including antivirus, firewalls, VPNs, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
* Assist with cloud infrastructure management, data backup, and disaster recovery planning.
* Conduct regular software updates, security patching, and vulnerability assessments.
* Support cybersecurity initiatives, including employee security awareness training and incident response.
* Document processes, create user guides, and train staff on new technologies and best practices.
Requirements:
* A working level of spoken and written English.
* Proven experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar role, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment.
* Deep knowledge of computer systems, networks, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and cloud platforms (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365).
* Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills; ability to solve problems independently and communicate solutions clearly.
* Experience with endpoint management, SaaS administration, and automation tools.
* Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices, including MFA, VPNs, patch management, and incident response.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to train and support non-technical users.
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience/certifications).
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900), or Google IT Support Professional Certificate.
