Lead Data Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in oracle performance tuning and data integration, combined with strong leadership and communication skills. In this role you will lead technical decision-making, mentor team members and collaborate with DBAs and business stakeholders to deliver high-performance scalable data solutions.
* Optimize query and database performance to meet strict SLAs (<2 seconds)
* Analyze execution plans and recommend indexing partitioning and optimization strategies
* Partner with DBAs to validate and implement tuning recommendations
* Oversee ETL ELT workflows ensuring scalability efficiency and data quality
* Leverage AWS services (S3 Redshift Glue Lambda DMS) for ingestion transformation and storage
* Lead and mentor the team fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement
* Translate technical decisions into clear explanations for both technical and business stakeholders
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* 7+ years of experience in data engineering within enterprise-scale environments
* Expertise in oracle performance tuning including query optimization execution plans indexes partitioning and parallelism
* Hands-on experience writing and optimizing complex SQL queries
* Expertise in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
* Experience in data warehouse design ETL ELT processes and data modeling
* Proven leadership experience including team mentoring and technical guidance
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with DBAs technical teams and business stakeholders
