This is a place to make a difference in the world.The Role & What You Will Be DoingThe Medical Manager works to support the affiliate’s short and long-term business objectives by delivering critical medical and scientific support to internal and external stakeholders. They act as the scientific and medical bridge between global/regional strategies and local market execution, ensuring medical governance, promotional material review, and engagement with healthcare professionals while upholding the company’s standards of excellence.Daily impact includes identifying scientific questions, guiding locally sponsored clinical trials (e.g., phase IV trials, epidemiological studies, pharmacoeconomics), and supporting Viatris products and pipeline strategies.Responsibilities include managing locally sponsored clinical trials, proposing investigators, site identification, coordinating investigators’ meetings, maintaining ongoing contact with investigators, and providing medical oversight of trials. They also manage timelines and budgets to ensure Viatris protocol information is maintained, oversee non-sponsored research processes, and ensure adherence to Viatris requirements and local regulations in clinical and research collaborations and non-interventional/local interventional studies.Additional duties include regulatory and compliance assurance of local medical and promotional activities, providing credible, evidence-based medical information to healthcare professionals, and supporting data generation and dissemination aligned with global and local strategies. They collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, regulatory, and market access teams to enable informed, compliant decision-making and execution, including medical affairs activities for brand promotion and public access strategies in Brazil.About Your Skills & ExperienceWe are seeking a candidate with a combination of qualifications, skills and experiences:Medical degree requiredTechnically updated in local regulationsMedical knowledge in the assigned medical area of the products and pipeline entrustedFluency in English (written and spoken)Ability to prepare presentations and deliver public speechesAbility to teach and trainNegotiation and effective communication abilitiesKnowledge of scientific, ethical, regulatory and legal aspects for conducting human trialsStrategic and analytic thinkingGood planning and organizationJudgment for decision-makingInitiativeMinimum of 3 years experience in clinical practice or roles linked with medical-marketing, marketing, clinical research or medical direction, preferably in the pharmaceutical industryAt Viatris, we are dedicated to building a truly diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace.
