We are seeking a highly skilled Business Data Analyst to join our team.
This is a potentially long-term position for a client in the retail space. As a Business Data Analyst, you will work remotely from anywhere in Brazil, collaborating with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining robust data models to support analytical and product data needs across the organization. You will build visually appealing, high-performing, and impactful reporting/dashboard products using tools like Tableau/Sigma across large data sets.
In addition, you will implement and optimize ETL/ELT processes to ensure data quality, reliability, and performance. You will also own and define business KPIs, their measurement plans, data requirements, and reporting.
You will be responsible for building processes to ensure correct, timely, and reliable reporting. This includes addressing ad-hoc reporting requirements and finding pathways for automation.
Furthermore, you will build and enforce common design patterns to increase report reusability, readability, and standardization. You will collaborate with other teams to achieve these goals.
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of IT experience and 3+ years of experience working in business intelligence, data analytics, data engineering, or a similar role. They should have strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling techniques (e.g., dimensional modeling, 3 Nf, data vault).
The candidate should also be proficient in a programming language such as Python or Scala and have experience building reporting and dashboarding solutions using Tableau, Sigma, Data Lake/Snowflake or similar ecosystem.
Additionally, they should have expert knowledge of database fundamentals, SQL, and performance tuning. Excellent communication skills and experience working with technical and non-technical teams are also required.
The ability to think strategically, analyze, and interpret market and consumer information is essential for this role.
