Main Role and Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging, concept-driven Physics lessons in alignment with the IB philosophy and the school’s curriculum;
* Contribute to curriculum development and department planning, with a focus on fostering curiosity and scientific thinking;
* Assess student progress thoughtfully, using formative and summative strategies to guide next steps in learning;
* Participate actively in the life of the school, including school events, trips, and co-curricular activities;
* Collaborate with colleagues across departments and year groups to support cross-disciplinary learning and pastoral care;
* Provide timely feedback to students and maintain open communication with parents and guardians.
Skills and Attributes:
* Relevant degree in Physics or related field (Essential);
* Experience teaching Physics at secondary school level, ideally in an IB or international context (Essential);
* Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills (Essential);
* Passion for science education and an innovative, student-centred approach to teaching (Essential);
* Experience with the IB MYP or Diploma Programme (Desirable);
* Fluency in English is essential; Portuguese is an asset but not required.
