Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled expert to lead urban and regional development initiatives. The successful candidate will be part of a strong international consortium and work on various projects under the European Investment Bank's framework contract.
This is a unique opportunity to build up your expertise in short-term assignments, working closely with our team and contributing to the success of our projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in regional and urban development, urban buildings, economic development, disaster risk management, and social and affordable housing.
* Experience working on EU, EIB, WB financed projects.
* A Master's or Bachelor's degree relevant to the topic.

* Expertise in urban planning, urban renewal, regeneration, transition to climate-neutral economy, environmental sustainability, carbon-neutral cities, land use, transport integration, transit-oriented development, sustainable urban mobility plans, smart cities, eco-districts, brownfield regeneration, cultural heritage, territorial governance mechanisms, partnerships, just transition plans, and impact assessment.
* Understanding of urban infrastructure, municipal utilities, green buildings, public administration buildings, business infrastructure, re-purposing abandoned buildings, education facilities, healthcare buildings, tourism infrastructure, shopping centres, cultural buildings, sport and recreation facilities, parking facilities, and similar.
* Knowledge of tourism development, access to finance, employment creation, skills development, productive investments in large enterprises, sectoral competitiveness, industry restructuring, clustering, and similar.
* Familiarity with disaster risk management (DRM) in relation to natural and man-made disasters, including all stages of the DRM-cycle.
* Expertise in social and affordable housing construction, renovation, finance approaches, energy efficiency, circular economy, nature-based solutions, regulatory issues, and policy frameworks.
