OverviewJob Requisition ID # 25WD91230The Senior Design Program Manager role involves planning, project management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of design initiatives. The P3 role requires strategic planning, managing budgets and financial aspects of projects, mentoring junior project managers and coordinators, communicating project status and risks to stakeholders, and identifying and mitigating project risks and dependencies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering design projects on time and within budget, experience with design thinking and human-centered design processes, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.The Senior Design Program Manager (P3) is responsible for leading and managing design projects and programs within the Growth Experience Technology (GET) Experience Design (XD) team. The Senior DPM will identify, design, and operationalize systems, tools, and processes and be a highly effective and adaptable project manager and collaborator to ensure that teams are healthy, efficient, and delivering design initiatives. This role will report to the Chief of Staff and Design Operations Lead and be dotted line to the Director of Design for New Buying Experiences.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage design projects and programs from inception to completionEstablish design program management systems, workflows to efficiently scale best practices using existing tool setHelp design and ensure the effective implementation of standardized design and delivery processes including project tracking, ceremonies, and communicationsPartner with Design team and leadership to create project plans, schedules, track milestones and deliverablesEnsure effective coordination and allocation of design resources, including designers, researchers, and developersMonitor project and program progress and address issues as they ariseHelp identify and communicate project status and risks and mitigation strategies to stakeholdersEnsure design projects are alignment with organizational goals and prioritiesCollaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure project successDesign, organize, and facilitate effective program management meetings with clear agendas, outcomes, and action itemsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Design, Business, or a related field5+ years of experience in design program management / design operationsExcellent project management, communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teamsExperience with design thinking and human-centered design processesProven track record of delivering design projects on time and within budgetExperience working in a matrixed UX organizationProficiency in Airtable, Miro, Figma and other relevant project management and design tools preferredAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $96,300 and $166,100. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
