Core Responsibilities:.
Assists in engineering activities during the engineering phase in close cooperation with the Project Engineer and Project Manager..
Designs, programs and test metering control systems..
Drafts the commissioning-, FAT- and SAT procedures in close cooperation with the Project Engineer and Project Manager..
Executes final inspections of sub ordered components at suppliers..
Executes test procedures on the metering systems which are to be delivered and drafts the testing reports summarizing the results.. Installs the delivered metering systems on-site, provides commissioning and startup services to the client..
Ensures a proper solution for issues that occur during startup and commissioning, either with the client or ODS Metering Systems' Project Manager.
This can be done by means of e.g.
small site repairs, the exchange of parts or the revision of drawings or manuals.. Is responsible for the proper administration of hours worked and the approval of the clients site representative of these hours.
The client approved hour sheets are to be handed over to the Service Manager..
Drafts a final report about the startup and commissioning of the metering systems supplied.. Arranges and prepares independently for national and international trips..
Provides training and instruction of the metering systems supplied to clients.. Attends meetings with the client and suppliers with respect to alignment of technical issues and schedules during the different stages of engineering, assembly and commissioning of the metering systems.. Acts as a telephone helpdesk to the client and other Commissioning Engineers.. Stays up-to-date on relevant developments at the client and shares these with colleagues..
Availability to travel for long period to attend commissioning and start-up activities (National/International travels);.
Availability to embark offshore in petroleum platforms.Educational Background:.
Bachelor's degree in engineering and correlated is required;.
Knowledge of flow technology;.
Knowledge of automation (Control panel, PLC, SCADA softwares);.
Previous experience in commissioning/start-up activities in industrial plants;.
Minimum Advanced English and Portuguese is required;Soft Skills:.
Ability to read technical documents of all disciplines involved in order to understand the working of systems and components;.
Analytical skills in order to solve issues on the level of the entire system or to find issues in the system;.
Adequate social skills in order to interact with clients, suppliers and colleagues in different cultures;.
