Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the Driver is to ensure that International Medical Corps staff or goods are transported safely and securely.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Adhere to local laws and IMC regulations regarding speed and driving safety.
Perform daily vehicle checks to ensure good working condition prior to departure.
Ensure all communication equipment is operational.
Check that vehicles are equipped with necessary items such as first aid kits, emergency food, and spare parts.
Apply all safety and security measures mandated by International Medical Corps.
Ensure passengers adhere to safety and security guidelines during movements.
Transport goods securely and ensure they are accompanied by a waybill.
Maintain a vehicle logbook with trip records and refueling details.
Keep the vehicle clean and fueled at all times.
Coordinate vehicle movements with the supervisor.
Report any vehicle issues or accidents to management.
Perform basic vehicle maintenance as needed.
Report for servicing, repairs, or maintenance requirements.
Immediately report security issues affecting staff or vehicles.
Familiarize with the local area and planned routes, especially regarding security concerns.
Ensure the vehicle is always parked defensively, ready to go.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Valid and clean driving license.
Vocational degree or relevant qualification.
Understanding of IMC's aims, values, and principles.
Proficiency in English.
Relevant training or certifications.
Basic vehicle maintenance skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well within a diverse team.
Ability to work in harsh and remote conditions.
