Role Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Patent Paralegal Project Coordinator to join our team. As a Patent Paralegal Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing patent filing requests.
Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating various aspects of patent filings, including budgeting, scheduling, docketing, document submission, and quality assurance. You will work closely with clients, translators, and internal teams to ensure that all requests are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.
You will also be responsible for preparing all documents required in connection with EP, PCT, and foreign applications, as well as proactively initiating the preparation of responses to official communications and notifications.
In addition, you will coordinate filings of EP/international and foreign patent applications and related correspondence from filing to issuance of grant. Your role will require you to monitor all assigned cases and proactively ensure that all related deadlines are met in a timely manner.
This is a full-time, remote position. Working hours will be in Pacific Standard Time (United States time zone). Candidates must be able to commit to working Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm PST.
Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required for this role as you will be working with English-speaking teammates and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare all documents required in connection with EP, PCT, and foreign applications.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
* 1-2 years of experience as a patent paralegal in either a law firm or corporate setting.
* Experience working with EP, PCT, and foreign applications.
* Strong organizational, leadership, and management abilities.
* Significant experience managing complex projects.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Successful track record of successful collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Strong experience implementing translation tools into existing workflows.
* Comfort working with CAT tools (memoQ fluency a plus) and various Machine Translation engines.
* Ability to define processes and standards for translation and quality assurance.
* Skilled at training internal and external users in MTPE & TM workflows.
* Skilled at vendor recruitment and negotiations.
