Overview
We’re hiring a hands-on Platform / DevOps Engineer to join a small, high-impact platform team. This is a “boots-on-the-ground” execution role —not advisory—focused on building, operating, and improving the infrastructure and tooling that enables 100–150 engineers to ship code efficiently and reliably.
You’ll work closely with a lean team (Principal + Senior Engineers) and play a critical role in day-to-day platform operations, automation, and developer enablement .
What You’ll Do
Operate and improve platform tools to support engineering teams (triaging tickets, resolving build issues, handling access/secrets/env setup)
Manage Kubernetes environments : deployments, Helm charts, namespaces, rollout troubleshooting
Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI preferred; Jenkins/GitHub Actions acceptable)
Maintain and improve self-service workflows, templates, and developer “golden paths”
Work with observability tools ( Prometheus, Alertmanager, Thanos, OpenTelemetry ) to monitor systems and improve signal quality
Assist with service instrumentation across logging, metrics, and tracing
Contribute to documentation: runbooks, onboarding guides, SOPs
Participate in on-call rotation and support incident response
Optimize infrastructure for cost, performance, and reliability
Automate repetitive tasks using scripting (Python/Bash)
Must-Have Requirements
6+ years in Platform Engineering / DevOps / SRE / Infrastructure roles
Strong AWS experience (IAM, EC2/EKS, S3, CloudWatch, etc.)
Deep Kubernetes expertise :
Operating and maintaining clusters
Experience building Kubernetes environments
Hands-on Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
Python scripting (mandatory) for automation and tooling
Experience owning and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Strong Linux fundamentals
Solid understanding of observability concepts (metrics, logs, tracing)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with GitLab CI
Exposure to OpenTelemetry
API integration or tooling development (Python/Go/Java)
Experience supporting large engineering teams (100+ developers)
Familiarity with security in CI/CD or infrastructure workflows
Multi-cloud exposure (Azure/GCP alongside AWS)
Background in mid-size, modern engineering organizations
