Growth Marketer – Part‑time (Room to Grow into Head of Marketing)
Join Go! Running Tours as a Growth Marketer. This role is part‑time with the potential to grow into Head of Marketing.
About the Role
Hi, my name is Lena, founder of Go! Running Tours. This post is a conversation rather than the usual bullet‑point marketing job post. I’ll tell you what’s good, what’s bad, and what’s ugly about being a Growth Marketer here.
Our new Growth Marketer will manage all marketing activities for B2C and B2B clients. Our markets are growing—some by over 100 %—and we’re constantly searching for new channels and markets. Your marketing DNA should be analytical and structured, with a creative flair for copy, spotting opportunities, and connecting B2C and B2B strategies.
You’ll work on a newsletter and email campaigns: imagine an email landing in your inbox from Brooks, Lululemon, or Abbott World Marathon Majors. You’ll research, test, iterate, and scale initiatives across cities, research new tech, and keep learning. Email marketing is a strong channel; we need a data/automation mindset to optimise flows, build smart automations, and dig into data.
Responsibilities
Plan, run, and optimise digital advertising campaigns on Meta and Google; explore new platforms and monitor what drives results.
Create engaging case studies, explore sponsorship opportunities, and pitch bold ideas to reach new runners, companies, and destinations.
Own the newsletter and email automation strategy, boosting open and click rates.
Collaborate with me directly and work with stakeholders worldwide.
Keep the team aligned on growth opportunities and experiments while maintaining a data‑driven approach.
Qualifications & Expectations
Analytical thinker with a structured approach, combined with creativity in copy and idea generation.
Experience in B2C/B2B marketing, preferably with email automation, digital ads, and data analysis.
Comfortable working remotely, with up to 3 hrs of internal meetings per week.
Fast mover, excellent collaborator, and driven to grow the business and yourself.
Execution‑oriented; you will be responsible for turning ideas into actionable results.
Compensation & Work Hours
USD 1,400 a month, 25 hrs a week, managed through Upwork. The role is part‑time; we value a healthy work‑life balance and expect no more than 60 hrs per week.
