Chef Operations Manager
This role oversees the smooth operation of the culinary department, ensuring food production is efficient, safe and of high quality.
* Directs and manages kitchen staff, providing coaching and guidance to ensure they meet performance expectations.
* Maintains thorough knowledge of culinary procedures and terminology.
* Controls production levels and recommends improvements for cost control and efficiency.
* Prepares daily electronic requisitions and checks deliveries for accuracy.
* Oversees main sections and entire food production, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A minimum of 5 years experience in an upscale hotel, resort or cruise ship environment, preferably as a Chef de Partie.
* Culinary school degree required.
* Strong management skills in a multicultural and dynamic environment.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, decision-making and interpersonal skills.
