The Impact You’ll Have at Voxy
Growth brings complexity. This role exists to ensure our financial operations keep pace, reducing DSO, identifying risks early, and resolving payment issues before they escalate.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Collections & Cash Application:
- Performs daily collection activities on overdue customer accounts through outbound calls, emails, and correspondence following established dunning schedules and escalation protocols.
- Monitors AR aging reports and prioritizes collection efforts based on balance size, days past due, customer risk profile, and strategic account importance.
- Investigates and resolves customer billing disputes by coordinating with Sales, AM/KAM, Billing, and Contract Administration teams;
documents dispute details and resolution actions in the XERO/Salesforce system.
- Negotiates payment plans and settlement arrangements with customers within approved parameters;
tracks compliance with agreed terms and escalates non-performing arrangements to the FP&A Manager.
- Applies incoming customer payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers) to open invoices in the AR sub-ledger;
investigates and resolves unapplied cash, short payments, and overpayments.
- Prepares and sends customer account statements, past-due notices, and collection letters per company dunning policies.
- Processes customer write-offs and bad debt adjustments per approval policies;
prepares supporting documentation for bad debt provisions.
Credit Analysis & Risk Management:
- Performs credit reviews for new and existing customers by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, trade references, and payment history;
recommends credit limits and payment terms.
- Monitors customer credit exposure and concentration risk;
flags accounts exceeding approved credit limits or exhibiting deteriorating payment behavior.
- Maintains accurate customer credit files and ensures compliance with internal credit policies and approval hierarchies.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepares weekly and monthly collection status reports, aging summaries, DSO analysis, and cash collection forecasts for management review.
- Tracks and reports on collection KPIs including collection effectiveness index, roll rates, promise-to-pay conversion rates, and bad debt write-off trends.
- Supports month-end AR close activities including revenue accruals, bad debt provisions, credit memo processing, and sub-ledger-to-GL reconciliation.
- Assists with ad-hoc analysis and special projects as directed by the FP&A Manager or Senior FP&A Analyst.
What We’re Looking For:
- B.A/B.S. Degree - Accounting or Business Administration;
- 2+ years accounting and/or finance experience, with prior/current internship in accounting;
- Organized, process-oriented and meticulous attention to details;
- Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment and someone who is eager to learn, contribute as a team member and do more and to progress in the company;
- Advanced Excelskills. Experience with macros/VBA is a plus;
- Based anywherein Brazil
- Capable of writing and reading in both English and Spanish
- Experience with tech company, preferably Enterprise Saas, is a plus.
Job Details:
- Gross Salary: R$110,500/year
- Working Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm (GMT-3)
