Role Description
This is a full-time remote position for a Cobol Developer (AS400) at Findmore Consulting, S.A. The role involves creating, maintaining, and enhancing applications on AS400 systems using COBOL. The selected candidate will analyze system requirements, collaborate with teams to design efficient technical solutions, write and debug code, and perform testing to ensure software quality and performance. Additionally, the developer will support business-critical processes, ensure system integrations are optimized, and maintain technical documentation.
Qualifications
* Strong Programming and Mainframe skills, with expertise in COBOL development and familiarity with AS400 systems
* Knowledge of databases such as SQL Server, DB2, or Elastic
* Knowledge of microservices architecture
* Experience with APIs (REST and SOAP)
* Proficiency in Systems Analysis and the ability to design and implement efficient technical solutions
* Experience in Software Development, including code debugging, testing, and documentation
* Excellent Analytical Skills, with the capacity to identify issues and implement effective solutions
* Ability to work independently in a remote environment and communicate effectively within diverse teams
* Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
* Previous experience in the financial, banking, or insurance sector is an advantage
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
