We are seeking a motivated and analytical individual to join our cybersecurity research team. This role is ideal for students with a strong interest in malware analysis and security research.
As an intern, you will be involved in various research projects, developing processes, defining priorities, following deadlines, delivering material, and sharing knowledge with the right teams. Your tasks will include supporting on research projects, defining malicious functionality in Windows x86/x64, MSIL, mobile threats, and web-related malware. You will also be responsible for keeping current with the latest malware threats affecting our customers, communicating with clients over email about adding detections, and participating in the development of recommended practices and standards. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to suggest ideas for implementation in company products, prototype development, content creation, and presenting about IT security to wide audiences.
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong desire to learn on your own and share your research with teammates. You should also have interest in malware analysis and security research, knowledge of x86/x64 Intel Assembly, basic knowledge of WinAPI, and experience with IDA Disassembler, HIEW, OllyDbg, or Windbg to analyze PE files. Furthermore, you should have executable file analysis skills in a hexadecimal editor, deep knowledge in several fields such as mobile device security and mobile malware, statistical analysis, methods of protection against threats, security best practices, polymorphic malware, rootkits/bootkits, and knowledge and skills needed to analyze and understand non-standard threats.
