POSITION: Guest Experience AM (Concierge)
As a Concierge, you will play a vital role in enhancing the guest experience by providing exceptional service and personalized assistance. You will be the point of contact for guests seeking recommendations, making arrangements, and addressing their needs promptly and efficiently.
-Welcome and check in guests, providing clear and friendly guidance about the lodge’s facilities, services, and local highlights.
-“Be around” during breakfast to coordinate kitchen orders and liaise with the guest
-Make reservations for activities such as downwinders, massages, kite lessons, village dining, tours, and transfers.
-Assist with guest requests and issues, including repair needs, special accommodations, and other in-stay support.
-Communicate effectively in both English and Portuguese, especially when assisting non-Portuguese-speaking guests.
-Oversee the pousada’s overall appearance and coordinate closely with Housekeeping and Maintenance to maintain high standards.
-Foster a positive team spirit, supporting colleagues to maintain a friendly and harmonious work environment.
-Anticipate guest needs and offer personalized suggestions and solutions.
-Organize special occasions such as romantic dinners, celebrations, or tailor-made excursions, ensuring flawless execution.
-Stay informed about local events, hidden gems, and attractions to provide guests with insider tips and current recommendations.
-Support purchasing and order coordination, liaising with local suppliers in Tatajuba, Camocim, Jijoca, or Fortaleza—under the direction of Chef Raphael Lopes
Skills/Qualifications:
-Excellent communication skills and a natural flair for guest service.
-Strong organizational and planning abilities with great attention to detail.
-In-depth knowledge of the region and local experiences, with a passion for sharing insider tips.
-Conversational English required; additional languages are a plus.
-Calm and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving in fast-paced situations.
-Proficient in reservation systems, Excel, and internal guest communication tools (e.g. notices, letters, updates).
-Prior experience in high-end hospitality or luxury settings is highly valued.
-Skilled at multitasking and maintaining focus under pressure.
-Warm interpersonal style with the ability to build rapport with guests and foster strong team relationships.
Additional Information:
A strong network of local contacts (restaurants, tour operators, etc.) that can enhance guest experiences. Familiarity with cultural differences and the ability to cater to a diverse clientele.
