About The Team/role
We are looking for a sharp, discreet, and methodical Compliance Officer to lead and conduct high‑stakes internal investigations across our Brazil operations. This role is central to upholding our Code of Conduct and integrity. You will manage a caseload of complex allegations, including fraud, corruption, harassment, and serious labour violations. The ideal candidate is an expert interviewer, a meticulous analyst, and possesses substantial forensic investigation experience or deep corporate internal investigations expertise, particularly in matters involving employees.
In this role, you'll be
End‑to‑End Investigation Management
Plan, lead, and conduct confidential investigations into allegations of misconduct (e.g., fraud, corruption, information leakage, etc.), from initial case intake through to conclusion and reporting.
Conduct sensitive interviews, perform forensic data collection and analysis (in collaboration with other departments where needed), and gather/document evidence with legal defensibility in mind.
Expertise in Labor & Employee Matters
Apply in-depth knowledge of Brazilian Labour Law to investigations involving workplace harassment, discrimination, disciplinary actions, and unfair labour practices.
Work closely with HR and Legal to ensure investigative findings align with local employment regulations and support appropriate disciplinary or remedial actions.
Reporting & Accountability
Prepare comprehensive, clear, and objective investigation reports for senior management, the Disciplinary Committee, and relevant regulatory bodies when necessary.
Recommend enhancements to controls, policies, and training based on investigative findings to prevent future issues.
Stakeholder Coordination
Liaise with external legal counsel, forensic accountants, and law enforcement agencies as required.

Bachelor's degree in Law, Criminal Justice, Finance, or a related field. Certifications in fraud examination (CFE) or internal investigations are highly valued.
8+ years of dedicated experience in conducting internal/forensic investigations, preferably within a multinational corporate setting, a law firm, or a consulting firm.
Proven forensic investigation experience or a strong background in corporate internal investigations, with significant focus on cases involving employee misconduct and labour relations.
Expert-level understanding of Brazilian Labour Law as it pertains to investigations and disciplinary procedures.
Exceptional interviewing, analytical, and report‑writing skills. High ethical standards and unimpeachable discretion.
Fluent in Portuguese and professional working proficiency in English.
