The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of a squad of software engineers and SDETs. You will collaborate with the engineering manager, architects, and the lead to implement technical strategies and direction. You will work with a stack that includes Rails and Postgres, with containerized microservices in Kubernetes (k8s). This role operates in a fast-paced environment with a focus on high quality and on-time delivery.
What You'll Do
1. Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions
2. Contribute to technical discussions and provide input to the squad
3. Ensure the implementation of best practices in coding, testing, and deployment
4. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver product features and improvements
6. Mentor and support junior engineers in the squad
7. Utilize Jira for task management and tracking
8. Work within a Scrum team to follow Agile methodologies
9. Adhere to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes
10. Provide high-level estimations for project planning
11. Participate in roadmap refinement and planning sessions
12. Support operational escalations and ensure timely resolution
13. Take ownership of tasks and contribute to shaping delivery
What You'll Bring
14. 5+ years of experience in software engineering
15. Strong experience with Angular, Ruby on Rails, Postgres, .NET, Docker, and Kubernetes (k8s)
16. Proficiency in containerized microservices
17. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
18. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
19. Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts and solutions
20. Experience in supporting technical projects and providing strategic input
21. A passion for continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends
22. Familiarity with Jira and Agile methodologies
23. Understanding of SDLC processes and best practices
24. Ability to provide high-level estimations and contribute to roadmap refinement
