This will be a fully remote position working East Coast hours, CLT hiring model and base monthly salary range is 16k - 20k real/month.
Must Haves:
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree is beneficial
5+ years of related Production support experience required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus
Programming/Scripting Skills in Java, Python, C++, Django etc (any scripting or coding language and ability to learn)
Experience in various App/Networking Monitoring Tools (Splunk, Appdynamics, Prometheus etc etc)
Strong interpersonal skills, proven ability to work with Global Teams, and growth mindset
Plusses:
Advanced proficiency in DevOps, Agile, & Lean is a plus
Business knowledge of Securities, Fund Accounting, Collateral, and Tri-Party Repo preferred but not a must
Experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud, Virtual, MQ, Database, Network, ITIL, Service Management preferred
Day to Day:
Sr. Application supports individual liaises between IT and business stakeholders to support the most complex application needs. Provides technical direction and guidance for a wide array of application / infrastructure activities supporting the business applications, processes & procedures across the enterprise. Develops strategic stakeholder relationships within the business units to ensure client satisfaction with complex IT design and the development of efficient business systems.
Key deliverables and responsibilities include:
Participate in architectural discussion and to evaluate the applicability and usefulness of proposed solutions
Responsible for the support and implementation of solutions and to ensure successful introduction across the organization & with clients
Perform technical analysis and prepare recommendations as needed
Act as the key liaison across all functional areas, including business units, the information technology department, and outside vendors
Possess a broad knowledge of technical skills and use them to effectively coordinate team members with the supported businesses
Facilitate decision making and arbitration relating to trade-offs both within and between different solutions
Possess strong analytical, troubleshooting skills and incident management skills
Utilize the appropriate technologies and ensure that customers have the solutions best suited to their requirements
Collaborate with operations teams to ensure solution compatibility with company standards
Overseeing key operational controls to ensure ongoing operating effectiveness
Must be a self-starter and self-motivated and be able to prioritize accordingly depending on demands from businesses and app/dev teams
Be comfortable talking to development, production and infrastructure teams
