The Role

We seek a people-centric leader with a strong background in language services to manage and support a distributed team delivering high-quality transcreation projects. You will serve as a mentor and escalation point, ensuring team productivity, morale, and adherence to workflows. Your leadership will be vital in aligning operations with client expectations and meeting KPIs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and clients to monitor performance, identify improvements, and support professional development, balancing team management with operational oversight to ensure efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction.


Responsibilities

* Mentor and support your team, managing workload and resources to maintain productivity and morale.
* Ensure adherence to language workflows and processes to meet quality and consistency standards.
* Build strong client relationships as a Languages and Localisation SME, guiding them through workflows and meeting SLAs and KPIs.
* Conduct strategic reviews, presentations, and reporting to ensure objectives are met and workload is visible for planning.
* Assist in cost estimation, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting; identify new revenue opportunities.
* Coach and develop your team, supporting their Personal Development Plans, performance management, and training needs.
* Promote team utilization and cross-training opportunities.
* Collaborate effectively with Talent Management, Quality Management, Client Services, and Production teams within Hogarth.
* Understand Hogarth’s business model, services, and technologies; identify workflow improvements to maximize efficiency and profitability.
* Support recruitment and interview processes as needed.


Reporting Lines and Key Stakeholders

* This role reports to the Director of Language Services.
* Collaborate with other Language Services team members in London, working with global accounts and teams in Mexico, Argentina, and Canada.


Requirements

* 6+ years of hands-on experience in language services (Translation, Transcreation, Cultural Insight, Linguistic AI).
* 2+ years of team management experience, both locally and virtually.
* Financial skills including P&L, estimating, budgeting, forecasting.
* Experience with TMS and CAT tools.
* Proven end-to-end language project management skills.
* Exceptional communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
* Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills; ability to work under pressure.
* Client management skills and a strong professional network.
* Ability to follow established processes and challenge the status quo.
* Fluent in English (oral and written) plus additional languages.
