Responsibilities and Assignments
Support ongoing learning on projects and groups.
Facilitate and sustain a system to introduce and explore different materials and technologies.
Foster a culture of building, modifying, and repairing objects in the community.
Facilitate the use of tools and machines in the maker space to support the students' authorship.
Nurture the co-creation and entrepreneurial mindset among educators and students.
Manage and support the evolution of projects for different groups and grade levels (Toddler 1 to Kindergarden).
Work in intense collaboration with homeroom teachers and arts specialists on the planning of students' learning journeys.
Develop meaningful experiences with multiple languages and spaces.
Support the documentation of the process and elevate the visibility of students’ theories and ideas in partnership with homeroom teachers and arts specialists.
Collaborate with homeroom teachers on the communication and showcasing of students' learning journeys in internal and extra-curricular events.
Inspire teachers through diverse perspectives.
Develop personal research on materials and techniques.
Report the project evolution to the Project Coordinator.
Requirements and Qualifications
Fluent in English and Portuguese (reading, writing, speaking, and listening)
Over 2 years experience as a Reference Teacher or Specialist Teacher.
Desired Requirements
Undergraduate/Graduate Degree in Design, Arts, Technologies, Pedagogy, or related areas.
Previous experiences in a PBL, makerspace and / or Instructional Design context.

Demonstrate knowledge of the emotional, physical, psychological, and educational development of children to provide an environment in which the child’s full potential can be developed.
Support students and educators in deepening their critical thinking skills, their understandings of the Habits of Mind, and to continuously make their thinking visible.
Demonstrate attentiveness to details and superb organization skills.
