About the Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Backend Engineer to join a dynamic and established team. This role is crucial for designing, developing, and maintaining the essential backend services that power our applications and enable Artificial Intelligence features.
You will play a vital role in evolving our microservices architecture, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance. Your work will directly impact the organization's ability to implement new features, especially those integrating Large Language Model (LLM) workflows and AI services, significantly enhancing user experience and operational efficiency.
What You'll Do
* Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot with Gradle.
* Implement a scalable microservices architecture, with an emphasis on Heavy Domain-Driven Services.
* Design and implement RESTful APIs following API lifecycle best practices.
* Integrate LLM workflows and other AI services, applying AI service API patterns.
* Provide the necessary backend support to enable AI-enabled features in frontend applications.
* Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
* Utilize version control systems like GitLab to manage code and collaborate effectively.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams (frontend, data, DevOps) to deliver robust technical solutions.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of code standards, unit testing, and technical documentation.
Tech Stack & Skills
* 5+ years of experience with Java and the Spring Boot framework.
* Proven experience implementing Microservices and using Gradle as a build tool.
* Strong experience in designing RESTful APIs and applying API lifecycle best practices.
* Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL for schema design and query optimization.
* Experience in developing Heavy Domain-Driven Services.
* Required experience in LLM workflow integration and using AI service API patterns.
* Ability to develop backend support for AI-enabled features.
* Nice to have: Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ and designing Event-Driven Architecture.
* Nice to have: Familiarity with GraphQL and implementing API Gateways.
* Nice to have: Experience managing Hybrid API Ecosystems.
* Nice to have: Direct integration with LLM/AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and development of AI-enhanced feature development.
