The Corporate Credit Underwriter role involves managing complex relationships within LATAM, covering the regions of South America, Andean, Caribbean & Central America, Mexico, and Brazil.
Responsibilities:
* Manage underwriting processes, adopting best practices in credit analysis, risk assessment, and monitoring.
* Foster strong relationships with key clients and regulatory bodies.
* Support strategic initiatives/projects and value optimization efforts.
Required Expertise:
* Senior-level experience in credit approval, with a focus on large and complex underwritings.
* Proficiency in global credit risk management standards.
* Ability to understand capital markets products and complex financing structures.
Business Acumen:
* Demonstrated ability to understand local market nuances and competitor dynamics.
* Navigate organizational complexity and break down silos.
* Cultivate and sustain strong partnerships with the business and other risk functions.
Qualifications:
* A minimum of 10 years of experience in risk/credit work, preferably in banking or financial institutions.
* Senior Credit Officer designation is preferred.
* Excellent influencing and negotiating skills.
