The client is a financial sciences company that combines data analysis, invention, and rigorous inquiry to help solve the toughest challenges in investment management, insurance technology, securities, private equity, and venture capital.
Project Overview:
The platform is a portfolio analytics tool used by asset owners, asset managers, and advisors.
The platform applies expertise in research, data science, and technology to modernize the analytics experience for institutional investors, helping them adopt a quantitative approach to multi-asset portfolio risk and investment decision making.
The available tools enable investors to perform factor-based risk analysis to inform manager due diligence, investment evaluation, and portfolio construction.
The client's headquarters are based in the USA.
We seek an experienced, full-stack software engineer to contribute to the innovation, technical design, and development of the platform.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 7 years of experience in building and delivering customer-facing products.
* A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
* At least 7 years of experience with Java development.
* At least 3 years of experience with modern front-end technologies: React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript.
* Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, test automation, DevOps, and cloud technologies (AWS preferred).
* Prior experience with systems design, enterprise SaaS solutions, user research, and product analytics is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to challenge assumptions and focus on quality software.
Responsibilities:
* To create, design, build, and deploy a SaaS product end-to-end using an agile approach, from conceptualization through rigorous testing, and partnering with client teams to ensure outstanding in-product UX.
* To conduct front-end web development using React, TypeScript, CSS, and other technologies.
* To perform API design and development in Java, using cloud, microservices, and caching.
* To become a domain expert and trusted advisor in full-stack software engineering.
* To contribute to the continuous learning approach of the team by bringing new insights, welcoming others' perspectives, and generating stronger outcomes.
* To provide hands-on coding support and perform code reviews to ensure quality standards.
* To communicate clearly about progress, challenges, and technical decisions.
