Job Description
The Release Manager II role involves planning and coordinating software releases in alignment with organizational strategy and goals. This position works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and timeliness of releases, monitor progress, identify areas for improvement through testing feedback, and develop reports to communicate release performance to leadership.
This role is responsible for facilitating the development, delivery, and deployment of high-quality software products to meet business objectives.
* Planning and coordination of software releases in line with strategic business objectives
* Collaboration with cross-functional teams including development, QA, operations, and change management to ensure smooth execution of releases
* Monitoring and communication of release progress to stakeholders
* Identification of risks and escalation of issues as needed
* Facilitation of release meetings and maintenance of release calendars
* Reviewing testing outcomes and working with QA to address defects and improvement opportunities
* Development and maintenance of release documentation
* Production of reports and metrics on release performance
