Job Specification: Oracle Cloud Field Service Consultant
Contract Role – Remote
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Field Service (OFS) Consultant to support the design, configuration, optimization, and ongoing enhancement of our field service operations. This is a remote contract role suited for someone with strong hands-on expertise in Oracle Field Service Cloud, with additional experience in Oracle Service Cloud (OSvC) and Oracle CPQ being highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the implementation, configuration, and customization of Oracle Field Service Cloud (OFS) to support business workflows, scheduling, routing, and mobile field operations.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable functional and technical solutions.
* Configure OFS modules including capacity, activity management, work order orchestration, routing plans, and mobility experiences.
* Integrate OFS with other Oracle cloud applications, especially Oracle Service Cloud, Oracle CPQ, and external systems via REST/SOAP APIs.
* Perform solution testing, UAT support, documentation, and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
* Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, ensuring seamless field operations.
* Recommend best practices and continuous improvements in field service processes.
* Support deployment activities, including data migration, configuration promotion, and post-go-live stabilization.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams including service operations, IT, product management, and vendors.
Required Skills & Experience
* 3–5+ years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting Oracle Field Service Cloud (OFS) .
* Strong understanding of OFS architecture, configuration frameworks, APIs, message scenarios, routing, and capacity planning.
* Experience designing workflows, activity types, and policy configurations in OFS.
* Ability to write and interpret OFS API integrations, business rules, and extensibility scripts.
* Proven ability to gather requirements and convert them into actionable configuration.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
* Experience working in Agile or hybrid project delivery environments.
* Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
Desired Skills (Nice to Have)
* Experience with Oracle Service Cloud (RightNow/OSvC) configuration, workflows, and integrations.
* Experience with Oracle CPQ (quoting workflows, commerce rules, integrations).
* Understanding of broader Oracle CX Cloud architecture and integrations.
* Experience with mobile workforce or field service applications outside Oracle.
* Knowledge of cloud integration tools (OIC, Boomi, MuleSoft, etc.).
