Kaizen Gaming's Public Policy and Government Affairs team is responsible for designing and advocating effective solutions to critical gaming and technology challenges. We foster a political, legislative, and regulatory landscape that protects people while encouraging growth and innovation for our business.
Role and Team
The team operates across a wide spectrum of functions, including government relations, policy expertise on various issues, risk and crisis management, outreach partnerships, and coalition building.
As a Regulatory and Public Affairs Specialist, you will assist in the development and implementation of public policy strategies to advance Kaizen Gaming's commercial objectives primarily within the legislative branch.
 * Monitor and analyze political and legislative developments affecting the online betting sector, providing insights and suggestions for action plans.
 * Interact with legislators and authorities to defend Kaizen Gaming's positions and interests in relation to public policy matters.
 * Collaborate closely with internal teams, including legal compliance, responsible gaming, AML, and communications, to align business objectives with public policy goals.
 * Support relationship building efforts with legislators, policymakers, and professionals from the online gambling industry.
 * Assist in the preparation and delivery of written reports, summaries, and presentations to effectively communicate public and regulatory affairs issues to internal and external stakeholders.
 * Represent Kaizen Gaming in meetings, industry forums, and institutions such as associations.
 * Manage relationships with consultancies.
 * Assist in crisis management efforts from a public policy perspective, developing mitigation strategies as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
 * Degree in law, economics, political science, public policy, international relations, or a related field.
 * At least two years of professional experience in government relations, public policy, or related areas, preferably in regulated sectors.
 * Excellent judgment, persuasion, and lobbying skills, creativity, and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and often uncertain environment.
 * Knowledge of legislative processes in Brazil, with established relationships in the public policy community.
 * Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills, with the ability to build and maintain influential networks.
 * Excellent writing skills.
 * A proven record of successful collaboration with cross-functional teams, adopting a cooperative and solution-oriented approach.
 * Fluency in Portuguese and English, both spoken and written.
