If you thrive in a world-class engineering culture and have a passion for building sustainable, scalable solutions, this is the perfect opportunity to make a global impact.ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers, driving technical excellence, code quality, and best practices across the development lifecycle.Architecture & Development: Lead the design, architecture, and feature development for existing and new scalable Ruby on Rails (Rails 6/7) applications.System Optimization: Proactively troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to performance bottlenecks, response times, system capacity, and scalability limitations inherent in large-scale global ecosystems.Complex Integrations: Architect and develop robust API integrations with 3rd-party vendors and a vast network of internal enterprise applications.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal business stakeholders, global technology resources (database, systems, networking, security), and external vendors to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions.Domain Ownership: Drive the technical execution for the electronic recyclables domain, encompassing inventory tracking, logistics, and processing workflows.Quality & Documentation: Maintain rigorous data quality, integrity, and consistency across the organization. Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for architectures, workflows, and websites.Full-Stack Oversight: While focusing heavily on backend architecture, oversee and contribute to front-end (GUI) integration and development to ensure a flawless user experience.Required QualificationsProven Leadership: Solid, hands-on experience leading and managing technical teams in a large-scale, fast-paced enterprise environment.Ruby on Rails Mastery: 12+ years of overall software development experience, with a minimum of 10 years demonstrating expert-level knowledge of Ruby as a core language and the Ruby on Rails framework.Advanced API Expertise: Extensive knowledge and practical experience in API design and interface technologies (JSON, ProtoBuf, REST, RPC, XML) at an enterprise scale.Testing & CI/CD: Deep working knowledge of integrated testing frameworks (RSpec, MiniTest) and Continuous Integration suites (CircleCI, Jenkins) to maintain zero-downtime deployments and high code coverage.Front-End Proficiency: Solid working knowledge of fundamental front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, jQuery).Education: 4-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent rigorous technical training program/bootcamp.Language: Fluent English, with excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to global, cross-functional stakeholders.Nice to Have SkillsGo (Golang) Experience: Hands-on development experience with Go is highly desirable for specific microservices and performance-critical components.Cloud Infrastructure: Experience deploying and scaling applications on AWS or similar enterprise cloud platforms.Domain Knowledge: Previous experience working with supply chain, reverse logistics, inventory management, or sustainability/recycling systems.Big Tech Experience: Prior experience working within the ecosystem of a massive, global technology company, understanding the nuances of enterprise-grade security, compliance, and global rollouts.
