Role Overview
As a Senior Backend Developer you will work on the backend components of Bitfinex Services: the main trading application, Lightning Network support, Blockchain integrations, and more. You will collaborate with a small, agile team to design, develop, and deploy scalable, secure, and high‑performance services.
Responsibility
Design and implement new products and features using agile methodologies.
Maintain and scale backend services to support high system load.
Ensure the highest security standards for API services and backend processes.
Qualifications
Exceptional Node.js / JavaScript skills.
Experience with microservices architecture.
Active participation in building a complex, production‑grade platform.
Strong database experience (MySQL, MongoDB).
Ability to rapidly learn new technologies.
Solid understanding of security best practices.
Desired Skills
Blockchain integration experience.
Comfort with high‑availability concepts.
Ruby, Rust or C++ skills are a plus.
Familiarity with message queues (Redis), caches, and job queues.
